Advent Workday with Brunch Potluck | Saturday, Nov. 29 | 10am-Noon, Nave | Help us “green” the church, and refresh our sacred space for Advent. Optional: bring a baked good to share.

Advent Lessons & Carols | Sunday, November 30 | 10:30am, Nave | A service of readings, prayers, and carols sung by the Parish Choir.

The Home Board Hosts: Advent Tea | Wednesday, December 3 | 2-4pm, The Elm City Club (RSVP requested) | Festive Advent Tea with musical entertainment for senior members of our community, aged 62 and older.

Dessert Theater: A Child’s Christmas in Wales | Friday, December 5 | 7pm, Undercroft | The Trinity Players (celebrating their 50 year anniversary!) present a staged reading of Dylan Thomas’ nostalgic poem, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, complete with sweet treats. Suggested donation: $10.

Camp Christmas | Sunday, December 7 | Noon-4pm, Undercroft | Lunch and Christmas fun for children up to age 10 while adults enjoy kid-free shopping, gift wrapping, or maybe a nap! To Volunteer or register a child: family@trinitynewhaven.org.

Annual Christmas Concert | Friday, December 12 | 7:30pm, Nave, with livestream | Trinity on the Green’s treasured annual concert full of festive favorites, Christmas classics, and modern masterpieces, this year honoring composer John Rutter’s 80th birthday. Suggested donation at the door: $20.

Christmas Pageant & Family Eucharist | Sunday, December 14 | 10:30am, Nave, with livestream | Our children bring the story of Christmas to life, joined by a live animal or two! If a child in your life would like to participate contact Angela: family@trinitynewhaven.org.

Community Dinner: Carol Sing | Friday, Dec. 19 | 6-7:30pm, Undercroft | Join us for a cozy dinner and carol sing. Optional: bring a dessert to share.

Homeless Persons’ Memorial Service | Saturday, December 20 | 11am, Nave | Join us for this annual remembrance of people who have died in the past year and experienced homelessness during their lives. Co-sponsors: Cornell Scott Hill Health Center & New Reach.

Christmas Lessons and Carols | Sunday, December 21 | 5pm, Nave, with livestream | Start your Christmas celebration: join all of the Trinity Choirs for a festive service of Nine Lessons and Carols which draw on the traditions of King’s College Cambridge.

Spiritual Fellowship Christmas Party | Thursday, December 25 | 3pm, Undercroft | A Christmas Party for those in need of fellowship on Christmas Day, hosted by James Thomas and the Spiritual Fellowship.

Virtual Advent Wreath | Every Thursday | With each week’s eNews, we will be releasing a video on our YouTube channel with spoken and musical reflections.

Advent at Home: Families Celebrate | Throughout Advent | Each family is given a deck of cards with a ritual, prayer, reflection or activity to be used each day from the first Sunday of Advent through the first Sunday of Epiphany. Contact: family@trinitynewhaven.org.

Stories of Migration | Sundays in Advent at 9:30am, Undercroft Library | The Holy Family were migrants, journeying to Bethlehem and later to Egypt to escape persecution. Our advent formation series will focus on stories of migration, from the Bible to the lived experiences of immigrants and refugees in New Haven. Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14, and 21.



Christmas Outreach

Sleeping Bag Drive | Every Sunday in the Narthex | Drop off new, or gently used clean sleeping bags in a marked bin in the Narthex. These items will go directly to our neighbors at Chapel on the Green, who are especially vulnerable this year due to federal budget cuts. Contact: llevy@trinitynewhaven.org.

Christmas Pageant Toy Drive | Sunday, December 15 | On the day of our Christmas Pageant, we collect unwrapped toys of a non-military nature for children ages 3 months through 10 years. Donations are distributed by the ‘r kids Family Center.
