Community Grants
The mission of the Trinity Community Grants Program is to respond to God’s grace through the effective stewardship of Trinity’s financial support toward human service programs that provide for the spiritual and earthly needs of others, with a particular focus on the issues of health, hunger, shelter, and education.
2026 Grant Application
Overview
Trinity Church on the Green is honored to support community organizations whose work reflects our mission statement, of working to improve the health, hunger, shelter, and/or education of those in need. Listed below is an overview of our 2025 timeline and of the forms needed for a grant application.
We have made several changes for 2026. Please note:
We will only award programs that submit a complete application. You may apply online or send your application to the parish office.
Typically, grant awards range from $1,000 to $3,000. Please use this range when indicating the award amount you are requesting.
We are updating our application schedule for 2026 due to the effects of probable changes in federal grant awards to local organizations.
The 2026 timeline is:
Early May: Grant application and applying information are available on Trinity’s website
Tuesday, June 9th - Applications due
Summer Months - Review agencies, by visit or phone
Late September- Awards decisions made and announced
Required Forms
The following items are to be submitted to be considered for a Trinity Grant:
1.) Letter of Interest that will indicate:
the mission of your program and a brief description of its work;
the number of staff members you have;
a demographic overview of who is serviced by your program;
a brief description of how you will use grant awards;
a brief description of your successes in 2024 or 2025
2.) Grant Application Form (see below)
3.) Documentation:
Financial Information:
A copy of your audited financial statements from 2024 or 2025
A copy of your program’s most recent IRS Form 990 tax return
Organizational budget for 2026, including income and expenses
A short narrative that explains anticipated sources of support, planned fundraising campaigns or events, significant changes in the organization’s operating budget, or other financial line items that may need clarification
A copy of your program’s current IRS determination letter (or fiscal agent’s) indicating a 501(C) (3) tax-exempt status
A copy of the organization’s most recent annual report (if available)
Board of Directors:
List the board members of your organization.
Supporting Documents:
You may choose to send letters of support and any recent newspaper/magazine articles.
