You may have noticed an orange bench on the Chapel St. side of our church. Spirit Quest has been asked to paint it by Rev. Heidi and our interim Chapel on the Green coordinator Clarke Mortenson. It is part of an ongoing project called Bench Haven (2023), a partnership with the New Haven Office of Community Mental Health Initiatives and the International Festival of Arts & Ideas. Neighbors and passersby connect with each other’s shared humanity, based on Friendship Benches started in Zimbabwe. Can your child help? If yes, please let Angela know: family@trinitynewhaven.org and be sure to send an old shirt with your child that Sunday.
