The Choir of King's College, Cambridge

  • Trinity on the Green 230 Temple Street New Haven, CT, 06510 United States (map)

Trinity on the Green is delighted to be welcoming the world-renowned Choir of King’s College, Cambridge as part of their tour of America in April 2027. For millions of people, Christmas only truly begins with the solo treble voice singing, “Once in royal” in the candlelit splendor of the Chapel of King’s College, Cambridge on December 24th. Since the 15thCentury, the choir of boy choristers and choral scholars have sung daily services alongside their studies. Their conductor, Daniel Hyde has been the Director of Music at King’s College since 2019. Prior to this, he was Organist and Director of Music at St. Thomas Church, 5th Avenue in New York City. He has an extensive portfolio both as conductor and organist. He has directed the BBC Singers, the London Bach Choir, the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Orchestra of St Luke’s and New York Baroque Incorporated.

Join us on Tuesday, April 13th 2027 for the only East-coast performance of their tour. The program will be spectacular, the ambiance amazing as these hallowed voices fill the historic church of Trinity on the Green, New Haven in what can only be described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
