Join the Choirs of Trinity on the Green for a night of glorious music as we celebrate 140 years since the establishing of the choral foundation. The current Choristers, Changing Voices and Schola will be joined by Ned Vogel, alumnus of the chorister program and an orchestra led by concertmaster Artemis Simerson in addition to the glorious sounds of Sister Soosie, Trinity’s Aeolian-Skinner organ. In a program inspired by the Psalms, you will hear music by Howells, Parry, Brahms and Mendelssohn plus more modern works including the world premiere of a new commission by Margaret Burk. 

For 140 years, Trinity’s choirs have been rich exponents of the Anglican choral tradition, offering a living heritage of sacred music that lifts hearts and minds. More than a tradition, Trinity’s choirs are also a profoundly valuable educational opportunity for young musicians, nurturing artistry, discipline, and collaboration within a vibrant community of faith and song. All proceeds from this concert will go to the restoration fund for Sister Soosie; we will be undertaking a full refurbishment of the 90 year old console in 2026. Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord! Join us as we celebrate one of New Haven’s longest standing cultural landmarks.
