7:30 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper
A service of Holy Eucharist that includes the Washing of Feet—an embodiment of Jesus' commandment (mandatum) to "love one another as I have loved you" (John 13:34)—and the transfer of the Eucharistic elements to the Altar of Repose. All are invited to stay after the liturgy to keep vigil with the Lord—“Could you not watch with me one hour?” (Matthew 26:40). Sung by the Choir of Adults & Girls and the Boys Choir.
Good Friday: March 29
12:00-3:00 p.m. The Seven Last Words of Christ
A series of seven meditations on the last words Jesus spoke from the Cross. While this service is indeed three hours long, you are invited to come and go as you are able. Includes a musical offering by the Boys Choir.
7:30 p.m. Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion
This service unfolds in two parts: the Liturgy of the Word (which includes the Passion according to John, chanted by the choir) and the Adoration of the Cross, during which all are invited to venerate and meditate on the Cross of Jesus. Sung by the Men & Boys Schola.
Holy Saturday: March 30
7:30 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter
This service begins outside on the apron where we will light the Paschal Candle (which will burn throughout the fifty days of Easter). We then continue with the Liturgy of the Word, the baptism of new members into the body of Christ, and the first Eucharist of Easter. Sung by the Parish Choir.
