Dear friends,

June is always a time of transition here at Trinity. The 9:00 and 11:00 services give way to a combined 10:00 that alternates between Rite 1 and Rite 2.

Our four distinguished choirs take a deserved vacation, and we form a merged choir of willing singers to sustain us through the summer. Rehearsal time is just before each service - don't be afraid to volunteer!

Last Sunday we said goodbye to Paul Baker, Jessica French, and Christian Lane. We thanked them for adding so much to Trinity's ministry of music and now wish them all of God's blessings as they go forth from this place.

This year, an additional transition is taking place. For the first time, Walden Moore, our Director of Music, will have a full time Assistant Organist to help lead rehearsals and Sunday worship (with little impact on the overall budget).

I am happy to report that Andy Kotylo will fill that new Assistant Organist position. I hope you all will welcome Andy K. when you see him, and henceforth, to avoid confusion, I will try to refer to myself as Andy F.

This coming Sunday, June 15th, marks another significant transition. The Capital Campaign which we have been talking about for several months will shift into high gear. Brochures describing the Campaign goals have recently been mailed to everyone on our parish list.

We already have over $462,000 in leadership pledges from those parishioners whose generosity is an inspiration. I'm deeply grateful for the example they have set before us.

This Sunday is "Commitment Sunday." We will all be asked to make our pledges (to be paid over the next 3 to 5 years). Our goal of $1.1 million is now within our reach. God willing, if we do our best to build a firm foundation now, Trinity will be in a position to flourish during whatever transitions may lie ahead of us.

I pray that we will meet the challenge of this Capital Campaign with generosity and grace.
